Individual College Counseling

 

My services include:

  • Complete emotional support of each student and family’s concerns and needs throughout the process

  • College Enrollment Plan - month by month schedule of tasks and deadlines

  • Review of transcripts and test score reports, discussion of any additional testing needed

  • Test familiarization for ACT/SAT – study strategies, test structure familiarity, online practice, etc. (NOT TEST PREP)

  • Completion of Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI) and other assessments for career planning

  • Completion of The Four Tendencies© Personality Profile to understand personal motivational style

  • Research for and list creation of potential schools and final list of “The Great Eight”

  • Analysis of school funding options and advice regarding maximization of opportunities

  • College visit and interview planning

  • Preparation of activities resume and guidance regarding letters of recommendation

  • Application essay creation and editing, utilizing my Write the Essay Only You Can Write™ program

  • Critique of completed applications (up to 10 schools, 8 is recommended)

  • Support with final enrollment decision

If you’d like to work with me on only one or two specific areas of college planning - such as a school list or application essays, I’m also available for ala carte support.
